Major Simgua Releases
(does not include minor, bug-fix releases)
Simgua 3.7:
- Ability to adjust model parameters and flows during a simulation
- Ability to restrict stocks to only positive values
- Improved method of entering units in equations (e.g. "{4 Meters}")
- Additional minor feature enhancements and stability improvements
Simgua 3.6:
- Unit Checking - specify the units in your model and Simgua automatically checks to see if your units are consistent
- Unit Conversion - automatically convert between compatible units
- Automatic model verification capabilities using upper and lower bounds for primitive values and dynamic live checks
- Enhanced Converter primitive allowing you to show only discrete data points
- Improved Material primitive
- Additional minor feature enhancements and stability improvements
Simgua 3.5:
- Multivariate Optimization
- Components 2.0 - components are now much more powerful and easier to use. Images and resources may now be embedded within components; and macros can now be executed at the start and completion of simulations
- Added additional default components: Histogram, Trend, Theil Decomposition and Pink Noise
- RandBinomial, RandNegativeBinomial, RandLognormal, RandPoisson, and RandGamma functions
- The behavior of serialized stocks has been adjusted so that removal from the stock occurs one time step earlier. This is the expected behavior for most and converges to the previous behavior as the time step goes to zero. However, some models might require updating due to this change.
- Added Aggregate function
- Folders can now be set to group primitives in the diagram in addition to the library browser
- Reorganized and improved manual
- Additional minor feature enhancements and stability improvements
Simgua 3.4.1 - 3.4.6:
- Added Max, Min, Mean, Median, and StdDev functions to analyze past primitive values
- Added a Months time unit
- Extended Rand function with optional maximum and minimum bounds
- Extended the Pulse function with a repeat option
- Added a function to generate exponentially distributed random numbers
- Added a single line IfThenElse function
- Improved the display of infinite numbers and charts containing them
- Improved Windows compatibility and interface appearance
- Stability enhancements and other minor feature additions
Simgua 3.4:
- Added the ability to set the simulation start time
- Smooth function to generate weighted averages of primitives' values
- Delay1 and Delay3 functions to generate exponential delays of primitives' values
- Ramp, Pulse, and Staircase functions to generate controlled inputs
- LOWESS macro function for analyzing data
- Added a greatly simplified approach to handling time. Some models may require updating to take advantage of the new system, download the Model Update Macro to automatically update models
Simgua 3.3:
- Added sensitivity analysis allowing you to explore the results of stochastic uncertainty
- Added fourth-order Runge Kutta solution algorithm resulting in more accurate simulations
- Stability enhancements and other minor feature additions
Simgua 3.2:
- Optimization allows you to set a goal of minimizing or maximizing a cost or some other value, and then to automatically determine the conditions that will achieve it
- Stability enhancements and other minor feature additions
Simgua 3.1:
