Primitives Overview

The fundamental building blocks of any model are a set of primitives. Primitives are basic tools provided by Simgua and may be used to simulate virtually any kind of system. There are ten types of primitives. Five are visible primitives that appear in the model: stocks, flows, parameters, inputs, and links. And half are non-visible primitives: folders, components, code vaults, materials, and displays.

Primitives may be created by selecting the “Primitives” toolbar folder in the main toolbar. They can also be created using shortcut keys to speed rapid model development. All primitives have General Properties that you may set, and many primitives have Styling Properties that can be changed.

Available Primitives:

Stocks Flows
Parameters Links
Converters Displays
Folders Components
