General Primitive Properties
There are two pieces of information that you may set for all types of primitives. These are the name of the primitive and the primitive's info:
- Name: The primitive name serves multiple purposes. It shows up in your model diagram and your displays to identify the primitive. It also lets you reference the value of the primitive in other primitives by surrounding the name with square brackets. There are a few restrictions on what can be included in the name. Only Alpha-Numeric characters and spaces are allowed in primitive names. Also the primitive name must begin with a letter. Primitive names are case-insensitive and it is recommended, though not necessary, that you give each of your primitives a unique name.
- Info: The info field allows you to make notes about your primitive. These notes are not used by Simgua in any way but can but useful in documenting complex models for yourself and others.
